Silicon Sensor International AG, one of worldwide leading manufacturers of optical high-precision-sensors, has restructured its management. The supervisory board ratified Dr. Giering as CEO of the company. “We are convinced to continue on our strategic orientation by this step without friction losses.” said Ernst Hofmann, chairman of the supervisory board, confidently.
Trigger for the reorganization was the released demission of Dr. Bernd Kriegel. Dr. Kriegel resigned from the Executive Board immediately effective from September 18, 2008. His dismissal as board member of Silicon Sensor International AG is based on good cause, especially due to the deep disruption within the Executive Board an in relation to the Supervisory Board. In addition Dr Bernd Kriegel also resigned as Managing Director of Silicon Sensor GmbH as well as of further affiliated companies.
The new Managing Directors of Silicon Sensor GmbH are Detlef Meissner and Thomas Brosowski. Both are senior executives, possessing high appraisal within the industry and from their colleagues, stand for continuity and simultaneously for a considerable potential in future development. While the move to the new production premises proceeds as scheduled, intensive negotiations of new projects in the automotive sector take place in parallel. First closed deals are expected still in this business year.
