First Sensor – ranked among the TOP 100 fastest growing medium-sized enterprises in Germany

TOP 100

First Sensor has been included in the list of the TOP 100 fastest growing and most profitable businesses determined by the Munich Strategy Group (MSG) in collaboration with the daily newspaper "Die Welt." This ranking was produced on the basis of a nationwide competition involving 1,600 companies from various industries with sales figures between EUR 15 million and EUR 350 million. The ranking is based on an equal weighting of sales growth and profitability over a period of five years.

First Sensor has been ranked in 56th place in 2011 in reward for its consistently outstanding performance, entrepreneurial vision and staying power in the period from 2005 to 2009/10. Dr. Hans-Georg Giering, CEO of First Sensor AG, has expressed his thanks to his business partners and colleagues across the group for their exceptional teamwork during this period, which, according to the Munich Strategy Group, could hardly have been any more turbulent. 2008 marked the start of the biggest economic crisis in the post-war era and this was followed by a rapid upswing in 2010, which now appears to be slowing down in a Eurozone weakened by public debt. First Sensor is proud to be one of the leading companies in the market, which have demonstrated their ability to adapt quickly and optimally to external circumstances in their competitive environment during this long period. In addition to its average sales growth of 30 percent, First Sensor's ranking is also based on criteria such as the outstanding performances of the company's management, its customer focus and the exceptional products in its segment. First Sensor's aim, and the direction in which Dr. Hans-Georg Giering and his team are steering the company, is to continue to significantly increase its sales and profitability in the future and to counter the volatility of the market by anticipating developments quickly.
