Gamma-Probe System
First Sensor develops and produces complete sensor solutions for radiation detection at its location in Berlin Oberschöneweide. Whether for research, science or the field of oncology, First Sensor offers an integrated system for measuring gamma radiation in the range from 60 to 600 keV.
With one push of a button the panel PC boots and is immediately ready for radiation detection; neither warm up nor calibration is required. The photodiode with the CsI scintillator is optimized for the detection of all nuclides in the radiation range from 60 to 600 keV.
The probe system is certified for medical use in the operating room. Commonly, it is used for finding the location of sentinel lymph nodes in breast cancer or melanoma patients. The application can be extended to all tumors spreading through the lymphatic system. For this application the Gamma-Probe System is pre-set for the detection of the nuclide 99mTc. This can be changed if required.
Special features
- Wireless probe with BluetoothTM connection to panel PC
- Sensitivity for 99mTc (140 keV) above 18,000 cps/MBq
- Spatial resolution: Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) for 99mTc ≈ 7 mm
- Preset isotopes: 99mTc, 111In, 123I, 131I
