From our company's mission statement, we have derived goals for our compliance management that enable all managers and employees to act in line with legislation and the company's values. These goals are:
First Sensor's Code of Conduct (PDF) sets out the details. In addition, we also expect our suppliers to promote First Sensor's values in their corporate culture and supply chain. We will introduce a supplementary supplier code regarding this.
Our compliance organization has a top-down structure. This means that our managers act as role models for our employees in all aspects of compliance management. Accordingly, the Executive Board stipulates a framework for compliance management. It is anchored in the company by the Group Business Processes, Risk Management & Compliance unit through guidelines and specific measures.
Along with the Code of Conduct and supplementary guidelines, First Sensor's compliance management system also encompasses a clear structure for dealing with compliance-related disclosures and for continuous improvement. As the body responsible for setting up a compliance management system, the Executive Board is supported by our Compliance Committee, the Compliance Coordinator and our ex-ternal ombudsman (legal counsel). In this context, we give whistleblowers various options for reporting their disclosures to First Sensor.
