First Sensor sees itself as part of a world community and assumes responsibility in line with this — for our employees and in our neighborhood.
We are convinced that the success of First Sensor is primarily due to the dedicated commitment and skills of our employees. It is therefore one of our most important tasks to establish a motivational working environment in which they can they discover their own potential to grow and flourish while working with and among colleagues. We are aware of how important it is to encourage diversity and a culture of friendly cooperation. We also see the opportunities and challenges posed by demographic changes. Mixed teams can only realize their full potential if their working environment is one of trust, respect and openness. Our Human Resources team does its utmost together with the Executive Board to create an environment characterized by cooperation based on partnership and in which our employees can develop their full potential while contributing to the company's success on a lasting basis. We want you to be proud of First Sensor.
Besides ensuring that our staff members are committed and motivated, it is also important for us to give young people vocational opportunities. That means we are creating more and more training placements in the sought-after training vocations Industrial Administrator, Mechatronics Technician and Micro-Technologist so as to offer talented young people officially recognized training. In addition to this, pupils can complete work experience for vocational orientation at First Sensor, while students can apply for one of the highly prized practical traineeships or on-the-job placements. To strengthen cooperation with higher education and research institutes, First Sensor awards Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate dissertations and theses. Intensive advice and specialist support during the entire course of the cooperation are part and parcel of our involvement.
Each of our sites belongs to various socially active networks in its direct environment. We support the most diverse local associations. The sites themselves decide what commitment is effective, as they know their neighborhood best. For example, the Head Office in Berlin is a member of Industriesalon e. V., which has undertaken the task of revitalizing the industrial quarter of Berlin-Oberschöneweide founded in 1889, so as to make it more attractive and high-profile to visitors and investors. First Sensor regards itself as part of this impressive district of Berlin steeped in history and has been supporting the association for two years now.
