Ultra-low differential pressure sensors with I²C bus and 3 V supply
The low profile, manifold-mountable LMI series sensors with measuring ranges from 25 Pa (0,25 mbar) Full Scale are based on thermal micro-flow measurement within the silicon sensor chip. The sensors are ideal for differential pressure gas flow measurement in HVAC and medical device applications. Visitors can actively test the excellent sensitivity, accuracy, offset long term stability and robustness of the LMI sensors themselves on the First Sensor booth.
Custom production of highly accurate MEMS inertial sensors
The highly accurate capacitive MEMS inertial sensors for the measurement of inclination, acceleration and vibration consist of a silicon sensor element manufactured according to patented micromechanical technology (HARMS, AIM) combined with ASIC signal processing in a hermetically sealed SMD housing. Depending on the bandwidth, the inertial sensors reach resolutions of 10 μg or 0.0005° (2 arcsec) and can be adapted both mechanically and electrically to the respective customer application. Typical applications include geoengineering, condition monitoring, inertial navigation systems, robotics, alignment and leveling.
Silicon photomultiplier module simplifies test runs in research and development
The new development module for silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) from First Sensor integrates a stable voltage supply, signal amplification, interfaces and the SiPM detector in a compact plug and play unit. The optical sensor detects ultra-low light levels in the wavelength range from 350 nm to 900 nm. Included software allows optimization of the operating point of the detector to the respective application. The silicon photomultiplier module is ideal for test runs and qualifications in high energy physics, medical diagnostics, nuclear medicine, homeland security and analytical instruments.
Photodiode array for highly accurate color measurements
In many applications in industry, automation, analytics and medical technology, colors have to be measured very precisely. The solution: A customer-specific color sensor chip designed as a matrix array consisting of individual PIN photodiodes with interference filters for red, green and blue. The detector features excellent transmission as well as long-term and temperature stability. On the SENSOR+TEST booth, visitors can use the color sensor in a colorimeter application to detect color differences more accurately than with their own eyes.
