The assembled electronic components and assemblies can be tested in-house in accordance with the usual test regulations such as MIL-, RTCA-, ESCC- and IPC standards or in accordance with the customer’s own test specification. In addition to the electrical test, the comprehensive test options also include mechanical tests (e.g. vibration, shock, bond strength), environmental tests (e.g humidity storage, temperature change, burn-in) as well as the optical inspection of the electronics. Thanks to the wide-ranging test options, both discrete components as well as complete assemblies can be qualified in accordance with the test and quality requirements that have been set up, e.g. MIL-PRF-19500/MIL-PRF-38535 and ESCC 5000/ESCC9000.
The skills and expertise in constructing power electronics components that have been acquired over many years have been used to produce and qualify discrete power MOSFETs in accordance with the DLR certificate (assembly and test house as per DLR-RF-PS-STD-006) since 2014. In keeping with this, the construction of radiation-hardened high voltage diodes for space flight applications is currently being qualified.
